Poses and Uploader Tutorial Empty
PostSubject: Poses and Uploader Tutorial   Poses and Uploader Tutorial EmptyFri Mar 12, 2021 9:44 pm

If you have ever wondered how you change colours, pose sets, or get fancy poses to use on chat, the following tutorial will explain how you do this!

When you log onto the chat, you will be presented with your messages. If you have no messages, you will be redirected to the map. This is the first way you can access your poses. The second way to access Andromeda is to enter a room and type “!go poses”, including the exclamation point. Entering this command will open up a new tab where you can access Markings.

On the left hand side of your screen, hover your mouse over where it says “Map Links...” and click on “Markings: Custom Colors”. If you want to access the uploader directly, click on: “Custom Poses, Rooms, & Objects”. It will look like this: here

Once you click on the button, you will be brought to Markings. This is where you can pick your colours or change your pose type! Here, you can either choose your colours by typing in the HEX Code of the colours you want, use the sliders below the colours on the left, or pick colours inside the box. You can also choose what animal you want to be by clicking the drop down box. On the screenshot, the drop down box is clicked so you can see what types we offer. Clicking on an animal name will change your pose to whatever animal you chose. For this tutorial, mine is set as the “Ocelot” set. In your animal preview (the ocelot on the screenshot), you can go through the different poses and see how your colours look by clicking on the forward or backward arrow. If you have problems selecting the appropriate colour, zoom out on your tab to 80% and choose the colours again. This should fix it. Your subscription type might say “Free”, “Basic”, “Standard”, “Preferred”, or “Ultimate”, depending on what subscription you have. Check out the screenshot! Now you can hit “save” and you will have new colours and set.

When you have a subscription of at least “Basic”, you will be able to access the uploader, where you can go ahead and upload your poses. For the purpose of this tutorial, you will be able to see the poses uploaded for the account “Lakitia”, which is our Keeper.
You will first see what poses you currently have uploaded. If this is your first time uploading a pose, the poses you will see are defaulted within the set.
Quote :

  • Step one is to name your pose! Choose a unique name for your pose so that you can find it when you want to change poses on chat. For instance, you could name a pose “CoolSit”.
  • Step two, choose your pose from your files on your computer. You need both a left facing pose and a right facing pose of the same image.
  • Step three, pick your avatar type. This isn’t really needed unless you are going into a private room where certain pose sets aren’t allowed. On other chats, however, the administrators might only allow certain pose types into public rooms. Make sure you pick accurately!
  • Step four, provide your proof! You need to provide link(s) to prove that you actually have permission to use that pose on Estrella Errante. This can either be a direct link or a link to a screenshot of the permissions.
  • Step five, hit submit! Now your poses are ready for the Protectors to review them and approve/deny the pose. You can see the screenshot here.

If your pose has been approved or denied, you will receive a message to your chat account. Alternatively, you can refresh to see if your pose has been accepted or not.

Unfortunately, the Objects are broken across all Chatlands, so you are not able to upload an Object. Uploading a room works the same way as uploading a pose!

Off to the right side, you may look at your currently uploaded poses. You can either choose to see both sides of your image or only one, as shown in the tutorial. Clicking the drop down “Background Patterns” below “My Poses” will allow you to change the background that your pose sits on in the right hand side.

Now that you’ve uploaded your poses, go have fun on Verdant Valley!
