Discord Rules

The chat rules apply to the Discord, but we have a few ground rules to cover in order to be on our server!

Kindness
It goes a long way and ties in with the respect aspect of our rules. Be kind to your fellow user and if you have beef with another user, don’t tell them you’re not afraid of them because you’re a vegetarian. We don’t want to see fighting on the server, so if you have a problem with someone please take it to DM! If you cannot resolve it and need assistance, do not hesitate to get the administration team involved. That’s why we are here! We want to help you.

Spamming
Please keep spam off our server. This means to not repeatedly and quickly type in the channels in order to flood it with nonsense. This also means to not post spam links or attachments! You will receive two warnings (situation dependent) not to spam and if it continues, you will be kicked from the server.

Links and Attachments
Keep in mind that our server follows the age rating of our chat. We are a 13+ server and you have to be 13 years or older to use Discord to begin with. Your links and attachments must remain PG-13 or lower. We do not need to see gore or sexual content!

However, if your content is shared on another website and you have a filter placed over your work, it is alright to be shared. This means, if you have an NSFW photo or piece of art on a website such as deviantART or Toyhouse, it must have an adult/mature filter over it. That way it protects you and us because now a user will have to click to agree that they are 18+. If they do and they aren’t 18+, it’s not on us or you.

Phishing Links and Other Hacks
You will be immediately banned from our server and chat, as well as reported to the Chatlands Overseers if there are any phishing links or other hacks posted to our server. There is zero tolerance. You will also be reported to Discord. Fishing is cool. Phishing is not.

Triggering or Upsetting Content
If you need to vent, by all means please vent. We have the venting channel for that purpose. However, if what you say could potentially trigger someone or upset them, place your words in a spoiler with a TW. For example: TW Pet Death ||words here||. While we know it’s impossible to know if something will trigger another person, take some time to think if what you say could trigger someone. Some common triggers include, but are not limited to: Death, pet death, abuse, car accidents, domestic violence, alcoholism, crime, violence. If someone asks you for a trigger warning, please abide by their request and add one. If you ignore their request or make fun of the user for requesting one, your post will be removed and you will be warned. If it continues, you could be kicked or banned from the server.

Voice Chatting
Voice chatting follows all the guidelines listed above. However, please keep triggering content out of voice chatting. We cannot say who will access the channel and we don’t want to hurt another user unintentionally. Don’t scream or be intentionally loud, keep music low. If you are warned for being too loud and it continues, you will be muted.

Images
Images must follow the PG-13 guideline. Please do not post anything graphic or sexual in our channels. No nudity. All people in images must be clothed. Swimsuits are fine, as long as genitalia is covered. While we understand your photo might be the perfect Kodak moment, we don’t need to see lewds or nudes. There are other places on the Internet for those. Gore is strictly not allowed. Candy gore is allowed on a case by case basis. Keep blood on art to a minimum.
